For patrons who are interested in the Vietnam War, the Comfort Public Library has a book entitled Defiant  by Alvin Townley.  This material is about POWs who endured internment in the infamous Hoa Lo Prison or Hanoi Hilton as it came to be known and the wives who launched the campaign that would ultimately become the POW/MIA movement.  Read the extraordinary stories of the men who survived and the one who didn't.

For readers who enjoy mysteries set in a cold clime, M.J. McGrath has written the third installment in her Edie Kiglatuk series entitled The Bone Seeker.  Set in the Canadian Arctic, this latest mystery involves a missing girl who is found in a nearby lake.  Her Inuit father spurns Edie and a friend's help because they are outsiders as are the nearby army soldiers who are enlisted to help drain the lake as part of the murder investigation.  Check it out for a chilly read!

For teenage readers who like reading about werewolves and other scary monsters, the Library has Young Werewolf by Cornelia Funke.  In this book, Matt and his best friend Lisa meet a strange beast in a dark alley and his life is changed forever....Check it out for a spine-tingling read!

For the very young readers, I Dare You Not to Yawn by Helene Boudreau.  The more you read about yawning, the more you will.  Check it out for a bedtime read.
